Lead is a metal which does not corrode in the conventional sense of the
word, rather lead leaches in to the water. Lead is a very dangerous metal
in drinking water plumbing as it elevates lead levels in the drinking
water to above the United States E.P.A. mandated levels (15 ppb) or of
the W.H.O. mandated levels (10 ppb). This leaching occurs when water is
in contact with lead piping or solder for any period of time. With the
use of SeaQuest, this leaching is controlled to a bare minimum level bringing
the maximum lead levels at the tap to below mandated levels.
