Copper is a metal which
does not corrode in the conventional sense of the word, rather
copper leaches in to the water. Copper is a very dangerous metal
in drinking water plumbing as it elevates copper levels in the
drinking water to above the United States E.P.A. mandated levels
(1.3 ppm) or of the W.H.O. mandated levels (2.0 ppm). This leaching
occurs when water is in contact with copper piping for any period
of time. With the use of SeaQuest, this leaching is controlled
to a bare minimum level bringing the maximum copper levels at
the tap to below mandated levels.
